Alkaid Srl is a dynamic company with an in depth knowledge of the non-ferrous sector in Italy. A total of 15,000 tons of extruded aluminum profiles, billets, ingots, and extruded brass profiles are sold by the agency each year. Alkaid did not have a web presence and looked for a quick turnaround. I would design the site and also gather and organize the information that the site would contain. I first approach the project by understanding what was the purpose of the company to finally have their own web site. Did they wanted to attract new customers, did they want to validate their presence on the market with current customers, were they planning to expand their line of services and so on. It turned out that the purpose was quite simple, the web site was an extension of their business card, basically a place where new or current customers would go to know more about the company. A simple purpose follows a simple solution, so the site is basic, but well organized and concise. |
