A Go-To-Market Campaign (GTM) is the process and activities that result from aligning sales, marketing, partners and services around addressing a common customer pain through an integrated campaign. The goal of the GTM Repository is to collect core GTM Campaign sales tools, partner material and marketing materials, and make it available to subsidiaries worldwide. My goal was to design the site, to provide functional specification to the development team, and to support the users worldwide in making the best use out of it. The weak point was to ask managers to upload documents to a central location and to "tag" them so that they could be organized, a common requirement of content management systems. It was the first time we tried to centralize the GTM Campaigns communication into one central tool, so it was crucial to obtain the buy-in from each team. I ideated a seamless way to tag documents inside Microsoft Content Management system (Sharepoint). Users would post documents by loading/copying & pasting them in appropriate "folders" on their campaign page. Main level folders were predefined for every campaign and created automatically when a campaign was created. Each predefined folder had tags associated with it. When a user posted a document on a predefined folder, the document inherited the tagging associated with the folder and with the campaign. Once documents were properly tagged, they could be browsed by the subsidiaries WW in the Campaign page or they could be searched. The site was a success and obtain excellent feedback by contributors as well as recipients.
